Oddero

Oddero: A Legacy of tradition

Oddero stands as one of Barolo’s most historic and esteemed producers, with a winemaking tradition spanning over 200 years. The estate was among the first to bottle Barolo at the estate level in the late 1800s, laying the foundation for a quiet yet formidable reputation. Over generations, the Oddero family has remained committed to preserving the essence of traditional Barolo, crafting wines that reflect the region’s rich history and unique terroirs.

Today, the winery is managed by the seventh generation, Pietro and Isabella Oddero, who oversee 35 hectares of vineyards, including some of Barolo’s most legendary crus, such as Vigna Rionda and Monvigliero. These vineyards are all certified organic, showcasing Oddero’s commitment to sustainability and respect for the land. Their winemaking philosophy remains deeply rooted in tradition, featuring long macerations and aging in large neutral botti, including Austrian oak. This method allows their wines to develop complexity, structure, and longevity, staying true to the classic Barolo style.

Beyond their iconic single-cru Barolo wines, Oddero also produces exceptional Barbera and Langhe Nebbiolo, offering wines that provide both high quality and great value. These wines maintain the same meticulous attention to detail as their prestigious Barolo, providing an opportunity to experience the estate’s craftsmanship across different styles and price points.

With an unparalleled collection of Grand Cru vineyard sites, Oddero continues to be a benchmark for classic Barolo, blending history, tradition, and innovation. Their wines embody the essence of the region, making them a reference point for those seeking authentic, structured, and age-worthy Barolo.
